E. Wedel Chocolate Factory

The E. Wedel Chocolate Factory signage resembles a box of chocolates. Cubes of different thicknesses, praline colors, and patterns inspired by Wedel’s iconic sweets guide the museum visitors from the ticket offices to the roof terrace. The visible curvy wood texture resembles dark chocolate, while the colorful tiles seem to be covered with sweet icing. Original icons present the most important functions of the museum. Directional information is engaging like playing with blocks. It ensures efficient movement around the facility, which will sweeten the visit. The icon design was created in cooperation with the Homework studio, the author of the visual identification of the Chocolate Factory, and referred to the patterns they designed.

Scope of signage: Entrance zone, café, ticket offices and shop, cloakroom, toilets, workshop zone, rooftop terrace, vertical communication around the building. The exhibition was outside the scope of the study.
